These Hawthorne buds (
Crataegus spp.) are magnified by crystal clear glaze ice following an ice storm in southern Iowa. Under normal circumstances, this amount of ice would break these branches. However, since the ice slowly built up over time they are able to bear the weight. From 35mm negative.
