Soft light and fall colors give this image a golden caste. Durwards Glen is a short, intimate canyon on the south slope of the Baraboo Hills near Merrimac, Wisconsin. The glen is on property settled by Bernard and Margaret Durward in 1862. Sixty years later the property was given to the Catholic Order of St. Camillus, which hosted a retreat center here until 2003.
