Tucked away in the upper reaches of the Baraboo Hills, a spring forms a pool, from which spills a creek. Other springs add volume to the stream as it babbles over rocks of Pre-Cambrian quartzite, thus forming the headwaters of the East Branch of Honey Creek in Sauk County, Wisconsin. This is a common scene here in the spring along the Baraboo Range before the hardwoods fill out and turn deep green, blocking the sun from the forest floor. From 4x5 negative.
