These images are from four consecutive frames of film. Eagles gather in the Sauk Prairie area each winter to feast on the gizzard shad and other fish that are plentiful in the lower Wisconsin River. Here, we see an adult eagle take aim at its prey and, a moment after its catch, use its powerful wings to begin to pull away from the water and head to a perch to make a meal of it. From four 35mm negatives.
