Each winter, Bald Eagles (
Haliaeetus leucoephalus) from along the Wisconsin River gather in Sauk Prairie where they fish in the tailwater below the hydropower dam. This eagle has just snatched a fish and is climbing into the sky, its prey still struggling in its talons. From 35mm negative.
