Like many migrating birds, Wisconsin's Sandhill Cranes (
Grus canadensis) often seem to return north just a bit too early. These cranes are coping with a March snowfall on their stopover at Lodi Marsh (Wisconsin). When they arrived a few days earlier, winter's snow had all but disappeared. From 35mm negative.
